Stonehill College is receiving national recognition for academic and extracurricular excellence.
Stonehill College was featured alongside many other prestigious universities in the rankings by the U.S. News & World Report, the Wall Street Journal, Money magazine, and The Princeton Review.
The U.S News and World Report assessed 1,500 institutions on 19 measures that reflected academic quality and graduate outcomes.
Stonehill College ranks 86th for top liberal arts schools across the country.
Stonehill also ranked in the top 75 for best value schools.
Stonehill moved up 62 spots in the Wall Street Journal’s “America’s Best Colleges 2024.”.
Rankings are based on student outcomes, learning environment, and diversity.
Stonehill ranks 157th nationally and 12th in the state of Massachusetts according to the article.
Money Magazine ranked Stonehill among the top 20% based on education quality, affordability, alumni earnings and graduation rates.
Stonehill College was one of just 17 Massachusetts colleges and universities to make the list.
The Princeton Review ranked Stonehill in the top 20 nationally for quality of life and in the top 25 nationally for athletic facilities.
“The ascent of Stonehill College in national rankings is a testament to the unwavering dedication of the entire Stonehill College community,” President John Denning said.
“While rankings alone can’t quite capture what a special community of scholarship and faith Stonehill is, these accolades signal the College’s continued commitment to creating a thriving campus environment for our students,” Denning said.
Stonehill students said they are pleased with the new rankings.
Sophia Metivier, class of 2027, said the rise in the ranking was excellent.
“I think its impressive and makes me proud to go here.”
Colin Leblanc, class of 2027, shared similar sentiments about Stonehill’s national recognition.
“I think its awesome that Stonehill has moved up in the national rankings, I believe I made the right choice in joining this community,” he said.
James Harwood, a senior graduating in the class of 2024, was proud to be going to Stonehill.
“I believe I made the right choice in attending Stonehill many years ago, I am proud that my school is being recognized for all of its hard work,” he said.
