The fast approaching winter storm also known as a Nor’easter left sports practices and

recreational sports up in the air Monday night.

The Men’s Ice Hockey game against Saint Anslem at Bridgewater Ice Arena was

canceled due to the storm. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday February 13 at 7

p.m. There is no news at this time as to if the game will be rescheduled.

The confirmed cancellations as of 8 p.m. on Monday February 12 are women’s ice

hockey, women’s swim, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s track and field, field hockey, football, women’s and men's tennis, and softball. Recreational sports GroupEx has also been canceled for Tuesday.

As 8 p.m Monday, the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. but the Athletic Training room will remain closed, said Peter Archetto, an assistant athletic trainer.

As of 8 p.m. on Monday evening, women’s lacrosse and men’s basketball are the only

two teams scheduled to still have practice in these conditions.

Due to the school being closed, the Sports Complex may be closed tomorrow depending

on how snow removal is progressing. There is nothing confirmed about its closure at this time as it is still planning to remain open.
