After Stonehill announced on Monday night that the college would be closed due to the impending snow storm, students began planning what they would do on their day off.
The Summit asked the Stonehill community on Instagram to share their snow day experiences, and how they spent their day off.
Many students enjoyed the tradition of sledding down the hill in front of Donahue, despite waking up to significantly less snow than expected.
“Sledding and sleeping,” junior Syd Beaton said about how she spent her day.
“Sledding down Donahue hill!,” sophomore, Jennifer Cwik said.
“Sledding for 4 ½ hours,” sophomore, Dani Lanoue said.
Other students spent the day relaxing with friends in a variety of ways.
Senior, Abby Green spent her free time on the day off rearranging her suite’s common room.
Some stayed in and watched a movie for a full day of relaxation.
“I watched Goodfellas,” senior, Emma Casey said.
“Watching a movie and making cookies with my suitemates!,” senior, Amanda Craig said.
The day off was much needed for all students and provided students the chance to step away from schoolwork for a well-deserved break.
