Stonehill Students Embrace Rare Snow Day With Sledding

BY OLIVIA ROTONDO

Racing down the hill at full speed, Junior Kelsey Connors fills the air with laughter and smiles as she enjoys her snow day.

“I haven’t gone sledding in years, I forgot how fun it was especially down Donhue,” she said.

Many students went up and down the hill all day and into the night on a variety of sleds and makeshift sleds.

Junior Claire Sawyer went down with the top of a bin cover.

“I was looking around my room trying to come up with a makeshift sled and then I found the top of my bin cover and honestly it was better than a real sled.”

Snow days don’t happen often but when they do students at Stonehill make sure to take full advantage.

Whether they're sledding solo or with friends, students cherish these moments of winter fun before returning to their studies.

Junior Garison Ciffolillo said he wishes every day was a snow day.
