Thanksgiving break protocols have been set in place

BY PAIGE FITZPATRICK

As the semester begins to wind down and the holidays are right around the corner, most students will head home for Thanksgiving break and are expected to follow the College’s protocols for leaving campus.

Residence halls close for Thanksgiving break on Wednesday, November 24, at 10 a.m. Students may leave campus once their academic commitments for the week are complete, an email from Residence Life said. Only students who have been approved will be allowed to remain on campus over the break.

Residence Life and respective Resident Directors for each residence hall sent out a Thanksgiving break checklist for students to complete before leaving for the break.

The Thanksgiving Break checklist includes the following:

· Close and lock all your windows

· Lock your door and bring your key with you – Residence life will be locking all rooms on Wednesday, November 24

· Set your thermostat to 65 degrees

· Take out any trash or food items that could perish

· Clean common area kitchens

All students are expected to get tested on Monday, November 22 or Tuesday, November 23 before leaving campus. The testing center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
